Projects are becoming more profitable and AI delivers information at the touch of a button
The new big wave is called AI. After CAD and BIM systems from the very beginning, systems supported by artificial intelligence are now massively increasing the profitability of projects, according to a study by management consultants Accenture, says Ralf Mosler from Autodesk. But that's not all: AI-supported project development can, for example, identify the building materials that can optimise the carbon footprint at the touch of a button. AI can also process the often highly complex database quickly and efficiently for early warning systems. "This technology has power and helps," says Mosler. The future belongs to workflows in which AI assists. We will speak with BIM models, as we know it today from common AI systems. However, Mosler pointed out that AI will only be at its best with open, interoperable data and that data silos still impair performance.
